Stirling & Truffles is passionate about responsible packaging practices to minimise waste and environmental impact. Our swing tags are printed with vegetable based inks and made from 100% recycled post consumer waste card which is manufactured carbon neutral and acid free, our stickers are recyclable, 100% home compostable shipping mailers have a double adhesive strip so our customers can re-use the bag once before adding to the home compost, our postage labels are also compostable, recycled tissue paper that is biodegradable and lastly, our reusable - 'keep me safe' calico bags!
As well as our packaging, it is important to us that our products have a minimal environmental impact. We use Australian suppliers to support local and keep carbon emissions low. Our leather is veg tan hide which is much better for the environment over traditional tanning as it uses a natural tanning process reliant on tree tannins and water.
Our goal is to decrease single-use plastic usage for the benefit of current and future generations. What sets us apart is our approach; not only do we address the issue and advocate strongly in the community, but we also provide solutions to this global challenge.
In terms of products, we offer a range from everyday essentials to lifestyle and fashion accessories. Our commitment doesn't end there! In addition to establishing a sustainable business, Petria has a formal background in sustainability and social impact. This expertise enables her to support businesses in achieving their sustainability objectives, from sustainable event planning to ESG strategies.
We are a purpose-driven business, prioritizing impact over profit.

This year will see significant developments in Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) regulations in Australia. It is proposed that the climate-related financial disclosure regime will come into force on 1 January 2025 and there will be a phased implementation. The new proposed legislation would apply to all public companies and large proprietary companies required to provide audited annual financial reports to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) that meet specific size thresholds, starting with companies with over 500 employees, revenues over $500 million or assets over $1 billion.
This is not us but it will be a requirement for SME's to provide reporting to larger entities so that they may complete their reporting. Currently it is not critical or mandatory at our growth point to actively participate and provide documentation on our impact, however in doing so shows our consumers our commitment to do the best we possibly can for people and the environment. We strive above and beyond our minimum requirements through our products and as a business, aspiring for a better tomorrow. As well as being founder to Stirling & Truffles, Petria also assists small business with their ESG strategies in conjunction with the ERC Australia platform for emission calculations.
With the support of ERC Australia, we’re making it even easier for our valued consumers and stakeholders to get a closer look at our emissions reduction plan.
Transparency is key in our journey towards a greener future.

Bees have been threatened by Habitat loss, disease, pesticides and climate change. Albert Einstein famously said that if the bee disappeared from the surface of the globe, humanity would have only four years of life left, as food crops would have no one to pollinate them.
One out of every three mouthfuls of our food depends on pollinators such as bees. 🐝 Crops that depend on pollination are five times more valuable than those that do not. We need to look after these busy little 🐝
We are committed to sustainability for the future and use ethically sourced Australian leather. Now with the help from Alicia at Windy Acres Lavender Farm, we have leather conditioner from the wax of our very own bees!
